Youths’ poor business attitudes causing poverty in Nigeria – Cleric

A Central Nigerian cleric, Rev. Luther Damang has said that nonchalant attitudes of youths towards business is behind increasing poverty in the country.
Damang in a talk-show organised by COCIN Youth fellowship LCC Minna in Niger State, during its 2020 annual youth camp regretted that most youths focus attention on paid jobs than entrepreneurship which is more rewarding and sustainable.
He called on youths to seek creative means of income.
The Cleric who is leading Pastor of Church of Christ In Nation (COCIN) Local Church Council Minna, however advised public officials to prioritize youth empowerment.
Other panelists on the show – Pharmacist Samuel, Miss Nansat Lekyes a Security personnel, Mrs. Nanko Salihu an Educationist and Mr. Katmi Johnson, a Church official blamed “system failure” for corrupt practices among youths desperate for economic freedom.
