“We’ll beat Boko Haram in war” – Slain Unimaid student’s kinsmen

The Mupun Community Development Association says Government must take out Boko Haram to secure Nigerians in the northeast.
The execution of one of kinsmen, Mr. Ropvil Daciya Dalep, by Boko Haram on Tuesday, because of his Christian faith calls for government to “step up efforts in safeguarding every Nigerian wherever they are,” said Chairman of the association, Mr. Pedro Dafur on Thursday.
This, Mr. Dafur said is the constitutional responsibility of government.
However, the insurgents will be defeated if citizens would be allowed to face insurgents, the group leader said.
“If these people (Boko Haram) will face us in a conventional war, we will defeat them. But we do not know where they are,” said Pedro.
Uncle to the slain University of Maiduguri student, Mr. David Daciya also cried that Christians from Plateau State are unsafe in the northeast.
By the claims of the executioners that they were avenging some wrongs done to their people by Christians in Plateau State, Mr. Daciya appealed to government to end the Boko Haram insurgency.
Meanwhile, the Mupun Youth movement will on Wednesday, 29th January 2020 hold a candlelight procession for the slain Ropvel Daciya.
The procession is fixed for 5pm from Maiyango junction in Jos, the Plateau State capital.
Daciya was abducted on January 9, 2020 along Jos-Maiduguri road while returning to school from the Christmas break.
One other hostage taken along with him, Miss Lilian Gyang is still in captivity.
