‘Thugs’ attack Edo Governor, Others at Oshiomole’s house

Suspected thugs on Saturday attacked the convoy of Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State.
In the convoy was the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu and Chairman, Caverton Offshore Support Group, Mr. Aderemi Makanjuola, it was learnt.
The trio were driving into the Iyamho residence of National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole shortly after attending the first convocation ceremony of the Edo University, Iyamho, The Nation reports.
Makanjuola was installed Chancellor of the institution at the ceremony, the report says.
They were said to have been invited for lunch by Oshiomhole when they were attacked.
