Slain Plateau kid: Grieved Governor pleads calm amid planned protest

The Governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong says military peacekeepers found guilty of murdering 20year-old Rinji Peter Bala in Jos, Tuesday will face justice.

Already, a security personnel alleged to have fired the bullet that killed the University undergraduate has been taken to custody, said the Governor.

Lalong in a press statement through his Press Director, Simon Macham expressed “shock and sadness” over the murder and ordered that “thorough investigation” be carried out.

The Governor however appealed for calm and adherence to COVID-19 guidelines as an unidentified group plans a procession for Saturday.
