Sen. Gyang to empower women, youths through four-year tenure

Jos, Nigeria: The Senator representing Plateau North in the Nigerian National Assembly, Istifanus Gyang says he will initiate business and educational empowerment programs throughout his four-year term.

Gyang during a “thank you” tour of his constituency last week vowed to also pursue “employment opportunities, skills acquisition and vocational training” amongst others.

The Senator who is famed for speaking out against insecurity and social injustice told electorates in all the places visited of his passion to secure them through peace building, reconcile them through forgiveness and restitution, and as well as empower them as promised during campaigns.

The “People’s Senator” began the tour last week Thursday to appreciate his constituents for his election.

The tour began from Bassa LGA, before moving to later to Jos North LGA same day.

On Friday, the “Positive Impact team” moved to Jos East and Jos South LGAs.

It climaxed with a visit to Riyom and Barkin Ladi LGAs.

Among dignitaries in the Senator’s entourage were had Hon. Simon Mwadkon, the Member representing Barkin Ladi/Riyom Federal Constituency, and Hon. Peter Ibrahim Gyendeng, the Minority Leader, Plateau state House of Assembly with his colleagues from Jos South, Riyom and Jos North/West.

There were also Party executives from the state, zone and local government areas, as well as women, community and youth group leaders.
