The Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong says the State deserves more slots in the Senior Executive Course of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jos South Local Government Area.

This is particularly as it hosts the decades old institution, said the Governor when he received the newly appointed Director General of NIPSS, Prof. Habu Galadima on a courtesy visit to Government House, Little Rayfield, Jos.

Governor Lalong lauded the role of the institution in advancing development in the State
particularly through research.

He assured that the State will continue to support the Institution in its operations.

The DG NIPSS Prof. Galadima however requested for additional land of about 100 hectares to build more facilities that will enable the admission of more participants from the current 60 to 100.

Galadima also appealed to the governor to facilitate the speedy completion of the approved 6 units of 2 bedrooms flats promised the Institute for the Directing Staff and the completion of the Legacy Project of the Governor.

He equally asked the Governor to use his influence as Chairman Nigeria Governors Forum to bring the attention of the Federal government to the needs of the institution.
