Central Nigeria’s Plateau State will soon host an international economic summit to market its business potentials, Officials say.
The summit aims to “open up Plateau State to domestic and foreign investors and rebranding our State to what it truly is –The Home of Peace and
Tourism,” the State Governor, Simon Lalong said, Monday at the 3rd Federal Government – Progressive Governors Forum parley in Jos.
The plan according to Lalong is part of the State’s 5- Year Strategic Development Plan which guides its “Next Level Vision”.
“We are prioritizing various projects in education, health, agriculture, mining and tourism which we believe can turn around the economic fortunes of our State,” the Governor said.
The State, Lalong said has enjoyed “growing synergy” among all stakeholders including the three arms of government as it continues its “Rescue Mission” through a “3-point policy thrust of peace, security and good governance; infrastructural development and sustainable economic rebirth.”
