Central Nigeria: Online media outfits in Plateau State are currently tracking to refute fake information on the novel Coronavirus disease, MK gathers.

The online media union made of journalists and bloggers have formed a new alliance with government to fight the disease, it is learnt.

“We want to ensure that people are well informed about the disease – providing accurate data and feedback for a successful fight,” said an Official of the union, Mr. Friday Bako in a press statement on Wednesday.

Bako advised citizens to observe all government provided guidelines to guarantee public safety.

The State had closed all markets and nonfood/nonmedical stores in the bid to contain the virus.

Night clubs, pubs and all social gatherings, as well as public transportation have also been restricted.

The State has however not recorded any case of the coronavirus disease yet.
