The Plateau State All Progressives Congress (APC) Party, Thursday vowed to back its State House of Assembly members in promoting good governance in the State.
Chairman of the Party, Hon. Letep Dabang said the Party is confident its legislators will promote good governance as proposed by the Party’s manifesto.
Mr. Dabang, applauded the peaceful parliamentary leadership polls, which saw its party men clinching lead positions.
The 14 APC State legislators were at the Party’s Secretariat in Jos, the capital of Plateau State to pledge their loyalty as they assume duty in the 9th Assembly, their spokesperson, Mr. Abok Ayuba said.
Mr. Ayuba, the State Assembly Speaker said the Party had performed creditably in developing the State, thus deserving the legislators’ support.
“You only support someone who has done well and the Party has delivered appreciable dividends of democracy to the State,” said the Speaker.
Majority Leader of the Assembly, Hon. Naanlong Daniel also said the lawmakers will be united in executing the manifesto of the party.
The meeting later went into closed-door where strategies were expected to be drawn on how to advance State and Party development.
