Plateau gets new SSG, COS

The Plateau State Governor, Mr. Simon Lalong has appointed Mr. Danladi Atu as the new Secretary to the Government of Plateau State.

Atu, a Professor and Director, Institute for Peace and Social Rehabilitation, University of Abuja replaces Mr. Richard Tokman who was appointed in Acting capacity following the resignation of his predecessor, Mr. Rufus Bature late last year.

Mr. Bature resigned to contest the Senatorial seat for Plateau North, which he lost to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Mr. Istifanus Gyang.

No reason has been given for the replacement of Mr. Tokman.

The Governor equally replaced Mr. John Dafaan as Chief of Staff, Government House with Mr. Noel Donjur.

Mr. Donjur, is a former Commissioner for Works and current member, Plateau State Economic Council.

Both appointments are effective immediately, says a statement issued Thursday by the Director of Press and Public Affairs, Mr. Simon Macham.
