Plateau Executives in isolation as Official tests positive for Covid-19

Members of the Plateau State Executive Council are currently in isolation following a Commissioner’s covid-19 test result which came out positive.
The State Governor, Simon Lalong on Wednesday directed the officials to go into immediate isolation and get a test for Covid-19.
No details have been given about the state of the Commissioner of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Abe Aku who tested positive for the virus but specimens of all other Commissioners were expected to be taken for test at the State COVID-19 Laboratory in National Veterinary Research Institute (NVRI), Vom.
A statement by the State Commissioner of Information, Dan Manjang advises members of the public to avoid “unnecessary visits” to members of the State Executive.
“This is to not only prevent possible spread of the disease, but also show leadership by example,” Manjang said.
