Plateau State: Military Task Force Operatives on Friday killed an armed raider along Barkin Ladi – Bokkos road, shortly after a Church security guard was stabbed by suspected herdsmen in Daffo village, 20kms West of Bokkos town.
The Operatives were said to have responded to distress calls about an ongoing armed robbery and were engaged by the raiders.
After minutes of crossfire, the raiders fled leaving behind a slain accomplice, identified as a herder.

The Operation came shortly after Mr. Mukan Solomon Dauda, 54, a security guard in Living Faith Church Daffo was ambushed in Malul hamlet near the spot where a Police Operative and a civilian were killed on September 18, 2020.
Locals say he was on his way to work when the assailants accosted him with swords and machetes hitting him randomly, and leaving him for dead.
Dauda was later rushed to hospital with deep cuts in his stomach and other body parts. As of 6am on Saturday, he was said to still be in theatre at the Jos University Teaching Hospital.
His attack is the 8th in the small village in two years with no arrest by authorities.
Locals say those terrorizing them are known herders who are often released after arrest.
