Only herdsmen, govt cabals, benefactors want Ruga – Arewa Pastors

The Arewa Christians and Indigenous Pastors Association (ACIPA) has vowed to mobilize against any plan to ‘impose’ the suspended Ruga model settlement program of the Federal Government.
Apart from herders, governments’ cabal and other benefactors of “land colonization or Fulanization and Islamization,” every other Nigerian is against the program, said ACIPA, Saturday.
The Ruga project, according to the group might allow illegal immigrants into the country.
“The government and her security architecture that cannot detect weapons and mercenaries smuggled into Nigeria, cannot convince us that the questionable and ill-fated Ruga settlement is not aimed at importation of the Kith and Kins of their brothers from West Africa and the Sahel for the purpose of Islamic occupation and an additional population to favor Islam in political voting process,” said the group in a press statement.
The statement issued through its Chairman, Rev’d Luke Shehu further warned a Northern youth coalition threatening to evict Nigerians from other regions in their domain over the suspension of the Ruga program.
“No group or individuals, religious, Fulani or Hausa has the right to expel the Igbos or any other tribes from the North of Nigeria where we co-habit,” ACIPA said.
