The Peoples Democratic Party says it is sure of victory in the 2023 General elections having won last Saturday’s Niger State Local Government polls in Kontagora Ward, the State Governor’s home.
Hon. Mallami Abdullahi of the PDP was declared winner of the polls in Kontagora central ward of Kontagora LGA where the governor hails from.
The party lost the LGA, winning only one out of 25 LGAs in the State, but the Zone B Chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Yahaya believes the party could maximize the gains in 2023.
“We must do every thing humanly possible within ambits of the law to ensure our votes count come 2023 not only in Kontagora but the whole state,” he said.
