Lalong griefs as COCIN sets to bury Ex-President

The Plateau State Governor, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong says the deceased President of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), Rev. Dr. Alexandar LA has left behind “enduring legacies” that will resound for a long time.
Lalong in a condolence message through his Press Director, Makut Macham said on Tuesday, “The late Rev. Dr. Lar lived a life full of love, honesty, compassion and justice.
“He fought the good fight of faith by preaching the gospel of Christ fearlessly and living in tandem with the faith he professed.”
The ex Church leader, Lalong said will however be missed by the State.
“The death of the revered clergyman is a great loss not only to his immediate family, COCIN Church and the Christian Community, but the entire Plateau State and the nation.
“Plateau State will miss his wealth of wisdom, experience and Godly counsel which he had offered relentlessly over the years,” said the Governor.
The former President and Chairman, Board of Trustees of COCIN, passed away on Friday, January, 3rd, 2020 after a “brief illness”.
He is expected to be buried on Saturday, January 18th, 2020 in Pajat, Langtang North Local Government Area.
This will follow a funeral service at COCIN Headquarters Church, Jos by 8am.
The funeral will be preceded on Friday, January 17th, 2020 by a service of songs at his family residence, behind PRTVC, Rayfield by 2pm.
