Christians in Niger state have held special prayers against insecurity in Nigeria.
Organized by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), the three-day prayer and fasting session aimed to end kidnappings, terrorism, violence and banditry in the country.
“We are praying that God would save Nigeria, & Christians in particular, from being consumed by insurgents, terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, sponsors of terrorism and ritualists all over our Country,” said Niger State CAN Chairman, Rev. Mathias Echioda.
Speaking at the end of the exercise on Sunday, Echioda blamed the crises the “poor attitude of some Christians towards the affairs of God”.
“Any nation that forgets God is damned,” he said.
The nationwide exercise climaxed with a prayer march in major roads streets in Minna, the capital of Niger State.
