First Federal College of Agriculture, Medical Centre Underway in Plateau

The Nigerian House of Representatives has commenced hearing on a bill to establish the first Federal College of Agriculture in Plateau State.
The House has also received a bill for the establishment of the first suburban Federal Medical Center in the State.
The two bills tagged Federal College of Agriculture Bokkos (establishment) bill 2019 and Federal Medical Center Mangu (establishment) bill 2019 were presented on the floor of the House last week Tuesday by the Member representing Mangu/Bokkos Federal Constituency, Engr. Solomon Maren.

The bills which successfully passed first reading have added to Hon. Maren’s earlier five bills presented at the assumption of the 9th Assembly.
The earlier bills were Bill for an Act to Amend the Criminal Code Act 2019, National Building Code Enforcement Bill 2019, National Shipping Policy Act Amendment Bill 2019 and Investment and Security Tribunal (establishment) bill 2019.
Others are Army Colour (Prohibition of use Act) Amendment bill 2019 and the Institute of Chattered Economists of Nigeria (Establishment) bill 2019.
Maren who was voted for a second term in the March 2019 elections had filed at least 10 bills during the 8the Assembly with several motions and projects to his credit.
He is believed to be set for a new record in the 9th Assembly.
