The Federal Government has commenced the training of Niger youths in poultry farming.

The training through the National Directorate of Employment aims to cut unemployment in the Country, Niger State Coordinator of the NDE, Abubakar Liman said on Tuesday.

The first batch of 50 trainees, Liman said comprises graduates and undergraduates.

Each of them will be given 200 one day-old chicks for practicals with a N2000 monthly stipend, the NDE boss disclosed at the launch of the training in Minna, the Niger State capital.
