Despite losing missionaries, COCIN insists on preaching in unsecured regions

The Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) says it is re-strategizing for “effective and result-oriented” evangelism missions regardless of insecurity.
“Scripture enjoins us to preach in season and out of season,” Rev. Victor Kawai, Coordinator, COCIN Community Missions said, Friday.
The Church last week Tuesday reported that five of its missionaries had been killed and right kidnapped in Shiroro, Niger State.
Nevertheless, the Church will intensify “robust discipleship” among indigenous converts in non-Christian communities, Rev. Kawai said in a communiqué at the end of the 2020 Annual Supervisors’ Empowerment Workshop (ASEW) of COCIN Community Mission (CCM), in Vom, Jos South LGA.
“Despite the challenges in our operating environment, we resolved to trust God to faithfully accomplish His Mission in our host communities,” said the Cleric.
