Despite coronavirus, Plateau targets N3bn monthly revenue

The Plateau State government, Tuesday said it would engage a consulting firm to raise the State’s monthly revenue from N900m monthly (pre-covid19) to about N3billion monthly.

An emergency EXCO Meeting of the State Government also resolved to go into aggressive awareness, testing and prevention of community spread, says a press statement from Simon Makut, the State Director of Press.

The State, according to the Statement is expecting accreditation for another COVID-19 testing center.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Northern Governors Forum and Governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong has sent condolences to Sheik Ahmed Lemu, over the death of Abubakar Shehu Lemu, his eldest son.

The Governor according to a Statement from his Press Director, Simon Makut described the death of the late Abubakar, as a great loss to the family, Niger State and the Nation.

He said “Late Abubakar, a retired Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, distinguished himself in serving the country meritoriously within and outside the country, and also impacting the lives of people particularly at the community level. The Northern Governors Forum shares in your pain at this moment of grief”.
