Court orders APC to proceed with NEC meeting

A Plateau State High Court in Jos on Wednesday ordered the All Progressives Congress to proceed with its scheduled National Executive Council meeting.
The Plateau State Chairman of APC, Mr. Letep Dabang had in a suit numbered PLD/J258M/2020 dated 22/6/2020, prayed the court to issue an interim order compelling the Party, its acting Chairman and Secretary, Victor Giadom and Mustapha Salihu to “proceed with the National Executive Council meeting fixed for Thursday June 25, 2020 or any subsequent day to which it is postponed, pending the hearing and determination of the Motion on Notice.”


Dabang also prayed the court to grant an interim order of injunction restraining the party from taking any step “to stop, prevent or disturb the convening and deliberations of the National Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) fixed for Thursday the 25th day of June, 2020 or any subsequent day to which it is postponed, pending the hearing and determination of the Motion on Notice.”
After hearing of the suit filed by Dabang through Garba Pwul (SAN) Associates, argued by Nantok Dashuwar Esq, the preciding Judge, Justice N. L. Musa granted the application as prayed, for all the reliefs sought.
