The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the November/ December Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) results.
The results show 33,576 candidates, representing 48.68% of 70,140 registered candidates scoring credits in both English and Mathematics.
This is 13.8% drop from 2018, NECO Acting Registrar, Abubakar Mohammed Gana said in a press statement on Thursday.
According to Gana, 50,057 candidates representing 72.57% scored five credits and above irrespective of English and Mathematics.
Examination malpractices increased from 12,084 in 2018 to 17,004 in 2019, he said.
Comprehensive monitoring in his words caused a decline in the number of candidates who got five credits and above.
