2020: Youth, women empowerment top Senator Gyang’s priority list

Nigeria’s Deputy Chairman, Senate Committee on Defense, Senator Istifanus Gyang says Youths and Women empowerment remains top on his legislative agenda.
This has already started through scholarships and business grants.
However, with the program officially captured in the 2020 budget, execution will be more thorough, the Senator said, Wednesday during a New Year tour of communities in his Zone.
Gyang who represents Plateau North in the Nigerian Parliament told citizens to maintain communal harmony for development to thrive.
“He expressed joy over the prevailing peace in Plateau North and the state at large and urge all communities and stakeholders to strengthen and promote harmonious communal coexistence thereby sustaining the gains of peace,” says a statement from his media aid, Mr. Musa Ashoms.
