16 students arrested for cultism in Niger

Police in Niger State have arrested sixteen students for alleged involvement in cultism.

Acting on a “credible intelligence”, the State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Wasiu Abiodun said the suspects were arrested on July 7 in the Lapai area of the State for having links with “Black Axe” cult group.

The suspects were arrested in a lodge during the group’s annual July 7 (7/7) celebration, the Police spokesperson said.
